Bigotry is bigotry. It's not "god" or "religion" that makes you an asshole. It's just you!
So I would like to remind you all to look in the mirror. I know a lot of the fear of homosexuality is just that. You don't understand it. And in turn you allow your own fears to transmit into anger and anger doesn't solve ANYTHING! We live in a world where children, 5 year-old girls, are taken and sold as a sex slave --- in the United States (Portland to be exact). Where children are turned into objects. CHILDREN! I'm sorry but if we spent 1% of the time and money people spend on their fear of homosexuality maybe this world wouldn't be so fucked up. It is utterly deplorable that the general public team up to harass someone who is gay and then those same "religious, God-fearing people" embrace a pedophiliac into their church because they accept Jesus. Seriously? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? Hate is nothing of god. Hate is not even human. Hate is a perpetrated emotion created out of fear and fear is suffocating.
I also would like to take a moment to say that all of you out there who assume someone "turns" gay need to take your meds because clearly your "stupid" is taking over. Someone doesn't "turn gay" any less then a child prefers one toy over another. It is a genetic disposition and the argument that they should try "not to be gay" is like asking you not to be ignorant and a societal cast-off. Clearly, we're not having much luck there. If you are a parent, you should be ashamed of yourself for pushing a child into being someone they are not. There is a place for everyone in this world and like it or not, being gay is not a crime. Being a murderer or abusive dumbass is. Being a sexual deviant and committing crimes against children is worth penis' being cut off. And even Bubba, the serial killer in prison finds your crimes against his moral code of ethics --- you, the predator. I know I can't change your mind or discomfort with homosexuality but hurting someone in the name of your inability to understand it never going to be acceptable.
Recently 6 boys committed suicide, different places in the country, different times because of the abuse and harassment they received at school and at home for being gay. It is only 6 of the many. I, myself, had a cousin murdered for being gay. Don't for a second think you're doing the right thing by perpetrating more hate into an already poisonous world. This is one life. And regardless of what you think the afterlife is, you're going on faith and RIGHT NOW is all you are responsible for. You're here. Right now. I imagine your god would be pretty pissed at you for mocking and brutalizing one of "god's own". So don't threaten bible verses or hypocrisy. Learn to be a good human being. I've said it a million times. We get so caught up in money, power, and greed and while it is wonderful to attain all of that, WHY is it so difficult to love one another? Why do you have to be so hurtful, so careless with others, so selfish!

If you notice, god has nothing to do with it. It's you and your own personal despicability. For those who are lovely, wonderful, loving people, thank you for who you are. And for the others who will say my calling someone an "a-hole" is perpetuating more hate, I'm going to have to agree to disagree.
