If not for artists, the world would be flat.

Been lost in the world of "wanting to write". Words in need of a home and I really need to control the swarming around in my head but up until today, I haven't gotten any actual writing done! I will now! I will sit down to this crazy computer and focus! Focus! Ok, focus! Seriously, it shouldn't be this difficult! And yet it is. I have five different projects whirling around up there and organizing them is near impossible because sadly, I work best in a sea of chaos. I will digress here for a moment: I have found that when you are creative, sometimes, carrying on live conversations, though lovely, is difficult because I think sometimes you're thinking one thing that's deep and profound but rarely do you have the opportunity to express that and have it embraced with the depth it deserves. Artist's are a strange lot, you see. We view the world in this rainbow of complexity. Nothing is as it seems, everything is in need of explanation. Whether through the stroke of a brush or the stroke of a pen (or tap of the keyboard as it were) we live and breathe emotion and thoughts and obscurity. It is the essence of all we are. For all the creative friends I know and those I have admired, I'm grateful our world is a bit more off-color. That it doesn't fit into the crowded corridors of "normal". If we didn't have the capability to have unique vision and be willing to regurgitate an honest interpretation of the world, we would be empty, as would mankind. Art is the key ingredient to beauty. Even when beauty seems impossible to see in the midst of violence or the unending growth of hate and putrid ignorance, everyone and everything encompasses some form of beauty; beauty that reveals itself in a smile or a look or a gesture. Thank you for allowing my world to be blanketed in unspoken words and unending passion ... without you, I would cease to exist.
